Who we are

In September 2008, Air Canada, Air Transat, Jazz Aviation LP and WestJet founded the National Airlines Council of Canada (NACC).

As a trade association representing Canada's largest passenger air carriers, the NACC advocates for safe, sustainable and competitive air travel by promoting the development of sound public policy and engaging with government and industry stakeholders on issues that affect our members.

Our Members

Canada's four largest passenger air carriers are the founding members of the NACC:

Total passengers carried by our members last year: 50 million
Total number of aircraft in our members' fleets: 437
Total number of full-time employees: 43,000

The association is intended for all carriers facing regulatory and policy issues similar to our own. All national or international passenger air carriers are eligible for NACC membership, provided that they hold the certifications and licenses required in our by-laws and are willing to pay the applicable membership fees.

National Travel and Tourism Coalition
The NACC is a member of the National Travel and Tourism Coalition (NTTC), a partnership of Canadian travel and tourism organizations that is engaging with government to promote a new approach to tourism-related policy in Canada.
